My name is Tessa Maciejaszek, and I graduated in May 2009 from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations. I have held three internship positions throughout my college career. During the summer of 2008, I interned with Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics as a customer relations intern. In the fall of 2008, I was a public relations intern at a consulting firm, Dick Jones Communications. I completed my last internship in the radio broadcast industry with Magnum Broadcasting, Inc. in the spring of 2009.
Since June of 2009, I have been working at Sallie Mae in Wilkes-Barre, Pa as a customer service research representative II. I was promoted from a level three to a level four within six months of becoming full-time. Last fall I volunteered with a nonprofit organization, The Lands at Hillside Farms. I wrote several press releases about the educational programs the organization offers.
I am actively searching for a job within the communications field, preferably out of state. Ideally, I would like to start a career in one of the western states, but I'm open to moving anywhere. I am an organized, hard-working professional with great communication and public relation skills. If you give me a chance, I'll give 100% to fulfilling your expectations.
